\n\tDreams do come true. That\u2019s certainly the case for Nene Royal, the precocious talent who was tonight crowned winner of America\u2019s Got Talent.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe 16-year-old Thai singer and guitarist has electrified audiences \u2014 and AGT<\/a>\u2018s judges \u2014 throughout this 21st season.<\/p>\n

\n\tWhen it mattered most, the teen sensation captured the heart of the nation. She won America\u2019s vote and captured the title, announced during the two-hour results show which aired Wednesday night (Sept. 23) on NBC<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tAs the champion, Royal earns more than bragging rights. She scores the $1 million grand prize and a headlining spot in a live show in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n

\n\tSpecial guests and performers during the live results show included Josh Groban, Lele Pons, REI AMI, Steve Aoki, and Linkin Park who, following America\u2019s Vote, collaborated with Royal for a performance of \u201cThe Emptiness Machine.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tHailing from Phuket, Thailand, Royal picked up the guitar at age seven and has always dreamed of being a \u201csuperstar on tour,\u201d she explained during the auditions phase of AGT. She delivered the goods in a massive way, by belting-out a reinterpreted cover of The Cranberries mid-\u201890s protest anthem \u201cZombie.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tWith her spot in the quarterfinals, Royal proved she was no one-hit wonder. Her cover of Soundgarden\u2019s \u201cBlack Hole Sun\u201d was such a blast, it earned Mel B\u2019s Golden Buzzer. With that, the youngster advanced to the finals. <\/p>\n

\n\tFor her performance in the season 21 finale, Nene reimagined the White Stripes\u2019 classic 2000s number \u201cSeven Nation Army,\u201d grinding Jack White\u2019s iconic riff<\/a> into a heavy weapon and introducing a fresh guitar solo. The youngster wore a traditional dress, emblazoned with the words \u201cNene Thailand.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWell, I\u2019m glad I pressed my Golden Buzzer,\u201d Mel B remarked after the amps were turned off. \u201cBecause not only do you have such mysterious, mystical stage presence, you\u2019re from the best place in the world, Phuket, Thailand\u2026and what you\u2019re bringing to this competition is so unique and you\u2019re only 16 years old. If you don\u2019t win this, I am going to sell Howie\u2019s new house.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tSof\u00eda Vergara said she was confident that the \u201cworld is going crazy because there is nothing like you right now, you are unique.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tHowie Mandel spoke last. Nene, he enthused, is \u201cthe biggest, most talented, most viral talent to be on that stage\u2026you should win. Give her the million, America.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe veteran actor spoke truth. It was a winning performance. For the record, magician Geno Ploeger came in second, and magician group Hundred Fingers completed the podium in third place.<\/p>\n
