Presley Gerber was found in a bedroom inside the Santa Monica, California, rehab facility where he died at the age of 27<\/a> on Sept. 20, according to a report.<\/p>\n

Per TMZ<\/a>, a source close to the investigation revealed that Gerber\u2019s body was discovered near the bed \u2014 but not on it \u2014 in the room Sunday night. <\/p>\n

The source did not give an exact location, otherwise. <\/p>\n

Sources also noted to the outlet that fentanyl has not yet come up in the death investigation. <\/p>\n

According to 911 audio obtained by Page Six<\/a>, Gerber was treated for a suspected \u201coverdose\u201d <\/a>after going into cardiac arrest, but an official cause of death has not yet been cited.<\/p>\n

As Page Six previously reported, the runway model checked into the rehab facility for treatment<\/a> the same weekend he was pronounced dead, and was under the influence of a substance<\/a> when he arrived there. <\/p>\n

TMZ reported that Gerber was reportedly prescribed ketamine by a doctor<\/a> \u2014 despite having a \u201cregular problem\u201d with the drug. <\/p>\n

Additionally, the outlet said he reportedly had a 24\/7 sober coach<\/a> on duty in months leading up to his tragic death, who was \u201cvery present\u201d in his life the last few months. It was not clear if this coach was with Presley at Resolutions Living\u2019s $7.7 million luxurious rehabilitation home<\/a> when he died. <\/p>\n

The only son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber<\/a>, he had been candid about his substance abuse and mental health struggles before he died, as well as had his share of public troubles regarding it, including a 2018 DUI which put him on probation for three years.<\/p>\n

Last November, Gerber noted that he \u201chad to step back and take care of my own mental health for a bit<\/a>\u201d while explaining a brief hiatus from social media. He said his intention was to come back \u201cstronger, clearer, more intentional than ever,\u201d and to try and help others suffering with mental health issues.<\/p>\n

Gerber even strove to promote a \u201cMental Health Mondays\u201d movement on his social media platform, in order \u201cto spark real conversations about the stuff most people hide.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, source exclusively told Page Six Presley \u201cseemed off\u201d in the weeks leading up to his death, and that he \u201cdidn\u2019t seem like himself.<\/a>\u201c<\/p>\n

In addition to his parents, Gerber is survived by his younger sister, Kaia Gerber, who is said to be struggling <\/a>with the loss of her brother, whom she was extraordinarily close to. <\/p>\n
