The city\u2019s recreation services department is offering its ninth annual STEAM program through September. In the words of city officials:<\/p>\n
>> This engaging event invites children aged 5-12 to dive into a month-long exploration of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics (STEAM) through a variety of exciting programs offered citywide.<\/p>\n
Throughout September, young explorers can partake in a series of interactive and educational activities hosted by the Children\u2019s Science Explorium, Boca Raton Public Library, and the Gumbo Limbo Nature Center. Each venue offers unique challenges that will inspire curiosity and learning.<\/p>\n
Get Your STEAM Passport<\/p>\n
Starting in September, families can visit any participating location to pick up a STEAM through September Passport or download it online. This passport serves as a guide, listing the challenges and opportunities for participants to earn a stamp for each completed challenge across the five STEAM categories. Collect all five stamps to receive a special goodie bag featuring swag from all three facilities. Most programs require advanced registration, and some have a registration fee.<\/p>\n
