Taylor Swift has dropped her new song “Pink Clouding” from the Encore version of her album The Life of a Showgirl.

This is the third of four new tracks that were recorded for the deluxe version of Taylor‘s 12th studio album, which was originally released last year.

What is the actual definition of “pink clouding”?

“Pink clouding,” sometimes called Pink Cloud Syndrome, describes a period of intense optimism or euphoria that can occur early in addiction recovery before the realities and difficulties of recovery set back in.

The expression can also be used more broadly to describe a temporary euphoric state or the feeling that everything is suddenly rosy.

What are the lyrics for “Pink Clouding” and what do they mean?

This song does NOT appear to be about Travis Kelce. Instead it sounds like it’s about an ex-boyfriend.

Taylor didn’t want to let this guy down, so she ended things and left him on a “pink cloud.”

In the chorus, she sings, “‘Cause I was pink clouding from the thrill of it (Pink) / Skydiving as you wrapped your arms around my body / Gray rocking where the arrow hit (Gray) / Years later, I still wonder how to tell you sorry / I didn’t want to let you down (Pink cloud, pink cloud) / So I left you up there on a pink cloud (Pink, pink cloud).”

Taylor seems to apologize to this ex on the bridge.

I hope At the end of the song Taylor, says she hopes this guy “landed safely on the ground” and “I hope you’re so happy now.”

So, who is “Pink Clouding” about?

Fans think that this song must be about an ex-boyfriend who she still views highly. The main guess right now is Harry Styles, who is going to be marrying Taylor‘s good friend Zoe Kravitz. They previously dated in late 2012 to early 2013.

Another guess is Tom Hiddleston, who she dated in 2016.

Read the full lyrics for the song below.

Posted To:Lyrics Music Taylor Swift The Life of a Showgirl

Credit: Getty Taylor Swift has dropped her new song “Pink Clouding” from the Encore version of her album…

[53
88,216
post-859923","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-music","tag-entertainment","tag-music
["GET

You realized my kind of trouble wasn’t worth it
And the way I treated you, you never deserved it
And I swear to God, to this day
I wake up scared that I left scars on a good person
And I gave you zero reason to believe it
So be it
But it didn’t mean nothing
Just ’cause I could leave it
