Gisele B\u00fcndchen told Tom Brady they weren\u2019t compatible anymore before ending their 13-year marriage in 2022, according to a new book about the retired NFL star.<\/p>\n
\u201cOne day, Gisele, who is really into astrology, basically looked into the stars and told Tom, \u2018We\u2019re not compatible,\u2019\u201d an insider close to Brady told author Lars Anderson in his forthcoming book, \u201cBrady: An American Story and the Price of Greatness,\u201d<\/a> which was obtained by Daily Mail Friday<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd just like that, she was done,\u201d Anderson writes in the book of their crumbling marriage.<\/p>\n According to Anderson, Brady\u2019s desire to continue his long-standing football career strained his marriage, with B\u00fcndchen allegedly pushing for her now-ex-husband to retire since at least the 2017 Super Bowl, when the New England Patriots defeated the Atlanta Falcons.<\/p>\n Gisele B\u00fcndchen (seen here) reportedly told her ex-husband, Tom Brady, they weren\u2019t compatible right before they divorced. tombrady\/Instagram<\/p>\n Author Lars Anderson cited information he received from a source about the exes\u2019 downfall in his forthcoming book, \u201cBrady: An American Story and the Price of Greatness.\u201d Macmillan<\/p>\n Per Anderson, the health guru had rushed onto the field to celebrate the Patriots\u2019 victory and Brady\u2019s sixth Super Bowl win. However, instead of congratulating the former quarterback, she allegedly said, \u201cWould now be the perfect time to retire?\u201d<\/p>\n Later that day, B\u00fcndchen, 46, allegedly asked Brady, 49, again about retirement, to which he allegedly responded, \u201cToo bad, babe. I\u2019m having too much fun right now.\u201d<\/p>\n A few weeks after the big game, the couple vacationed with Jay Feely, Brady\u2019s former Michigan Wolverines teammate from his days at the University of Michigan.<\/p>\n Anderson cited a past interview with Feely, in which the latter stated B\u00fcndchen wanted him to try to push Brady into retirement as an act of leadership for his family.<\/p>\n \u201cShe was dead serious,\u201d Feely previously told Sports Illustrated\u2019s<\/a> Greg Bishop. Christopher Peterson \/ SplashNews.com<\/p>\n In 2018, after the Patriots lost the Super Bowl to the\u00a0Philadelphia Eagles, B\u00fcndchen allegedly wrote a serious note to Brady, asking for more of himself for their family, according to the book, which comes out Sept. 29.<\/p>\n \u201cShe needed him to be present when he was at home, not responding to text messages on his constantly buzzing cell phone or replaying a game in his mind,\u201d Anderson stated.<\/p>\n \u201cShe needed more help with the kids. She needed the chance to sleep in just a few days a week. She needed more time for her own career.\u201d<\/p>\n Brady\u2019s former teammate told Anderson that B\u00fcndchen was \u201ca bigger international star\u201d than the athlete and was \u201cgetting tired of living\u201d on his schedule. <\/p>\n One of Brady\u2019s pals, who is also a former football player, reflected on the potential challenges of being married to him.<\/p>\n \u201cThe guy gets up at the crack of dawn, thinks all day about a game that is foreign to his wife, comes home and is in bed each night by nine,\u201d the pal said, per Anderson. \u201cHe can\u2019t really eat out or go out without causing a scene. Everything he puts in his mouth tastes like s \u2013 \u2013 t. The whole lifestyle had to be getting tiresome for Gisele.\u201d<\/p>\n Anderson cited Brady\u2019s unwillingness to retire as the reason for his marriage\u2019s downfall. However, he unretired the following month.<\/a><\/p>\n I\u2019ve realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands,\u201d Brady wrote via X (formerly Twitter) at the time. \u201cThat time will come. But it\u2019s not now.\u201d<\/p>\n Anderson explained that while B\u00fcndchen vocally supported Brady, she was upset at his decision and briefly fled to Costa Rica, leaving him distraught.<\/p>\n Anderson cited conversations with Brady\u2019s former coaches and teammates, recalling how he lost weight, appeared distracted and questioned his decision to unretire upon returning to training camp that season.<\/p>\n The duo (seen above) parted ways in 2022. gisele\/Instagram<\/p>\n B\u00fcndchen has since gotten remarried to Joaquim Valente (seen here).
