Ree Drummond\u2019s adopted son allegedly grabbed a woman by the neck and threw her dog against a wall more than a year before he was arrested last week on drug and assault charges.<\/p>\n
Jamar Goff, 23, was the subject of a protective order in Alabama after a woman he was allegedly in a \u201cdating relationship\u201d accused him of a series of violent incidents in May 2025, according to legal filing obtained by Page Six. <\/p>\n
The woman, whose identity has not been made public, claimed Goff had been living at her apartment \u201cfor free\u201d and had shown \u201cmultiple signs of aggression.\u201d<\/p>\n
In her May 28, 2025, petition for a protective order, she alleged that Goff punched a hole in her wall and flipped her couch while she and her dog were sitting on it.<\/p>\n

The son of the Food Network Star, was accused of grabbing a woman he was dating by the neck, and throwing her dog \u201cagainst the wall.\u201d Instagram\/@thepioneerwoman<\/p>\n
\u201cHe grabbed me by the neck and pushed me down onto the couch and held me there until I could not breathe,\u201d she alleged in the filing.<\/p>\n
She also claimed Goff \u201cthrew my dog into a wall\u201d and threatened to harm her while she was speaking with her sister on the phone.<\/p>\n
The woman further alleged that Goff, a former University of Central Oklahoma football player, grabbed her arms and left bruises, while threatening to lock her inside her apartment.<\/p>\n
A judge granted her protective order on May 28, 2025. Goff was ordered to stay at least 500 feet away from the woman, her workplace, school and other places she frequented, and was prohibited from harassing, stalking, annoying or threatening her.<\/p>\n
The order remained in effect for one year and expired in May. <\/p>\n
That same month, Goff was detained after allegedly biting<\/a> a correctional officer\u2019s hand.<\/p>\n The former college football player, pictured with Drummond, was ordered to stay \u201cat least 500 feet\u201d away from the woman for one year, following the 2025 filing. She claimed he threatened to come to her home and hurt her and anyone who tried to stop him.<\/p>\n A judge subsequently ordered Goff to stay at least 100 yards away from the woman and later issued a final protective order prohibiting contact. That order expired in August 2024.<\/p>\n
