BOZEMAN, Mont. \u2014 The Museum of the Rockies gave visitors a first look at the planetarium’s newest show, “Faster than light: The dream of interstellar flight, giving us an idea of what it would take to travel among the stars.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ll be zooming right through the stars. It’ll be fun. It’ll feel like you’re right there in space,\u201d said Eric Lohberg, Taylor Planetarium Program Manager.<\/p>\n
The new show explores humanity’s fascination with space travel, bringing audiences into an immersive environment designed to spark curiosity about space and the future of exploration.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is about how can we get out into space faster than we’ve ever been before? Right now, it’s really difficult to get out into space. It takes a long time. The voyager missions just turned 49 years old. About two weeks ago,\u201d said Lohberg.<\/p>\n
Lohberg and I spoke about how the light show highlights the role of future science education in Montana.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe newest technology. How Can we get out into space soon? There’s a brand-new mission that was just announced September 1st called the Fermi Explorer,\u201d said Lohberg.<\/p>\n
As far as voyager 1 mission goes, on November 18 it\u2019ll hit 49 light days from earth.<\/p>\n
