A bumper weekend of Steam updates – with a SteamOS 3.9.2 Beta<\/a> now available with a whole bunch of extra fixes and improvements for all devices. Now that SteamOS 3.8.28 has been promoted to stable<\/a>, SteamOS 3.9 moved from Preview to Beta – one step closer to a stable release.<\/p>\n

We also had a Steam Client Beta upgrade<\/a>, and SteamOS 0.4.1 Beta for Steam Frame<\/a> as well. Busy time for Valve!<\/p>\n

Hopefully this will make the Steam Frame + Steam Machine combination a fair bit smoother.<\/p>\n

\nAdd preliminary support for Legion Go 2 brightness control.
\nFixed Steam Remote Play not working on Steam Machine when booting with no external display connected.
\nFixed “Disable Frame Limiter” toggle not working when VRR is enabled.
\nFixed the frame limiter incorrectly applying to VR titles when streaming from Steam Machine to Steam Frame.
\nFixed loss of input if a launcher window is accidentally dragged around in Game Mode.
\nFixed logging in to Desktop Mode via RDP with system users when enabled.
\nFixed an issue causing certain games (incl. ELDEN RING and DARK SOULS\u2122 III) to fail to run on recent Panther Lake Intel CPUs.
