\n\tMichael Fishman, who played D.J. Conner on the ABC sitcom \u201cRoseanne<\/a>,\u201d has taken to social media after making headlines for feuding with his former co-star Roseanne Barr <\/a>earlier this month. In August, Fishman said that the show\u2019s 2018 reboot \u201cwas rightfully canceled\u201d after Barr posted a racist tweet, to which Barr responded that Fishman was a \u201cbrainwashed bigot\u201d and \u201ca fucking little worm\u201d in an episode of the \u201cCan\u2019t Be Censored\u201d podcast<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tHe began by apologizing to fans of the show for the\u201cchaos over the course of the past week.\u201d \u201cI\u2019ve heard from a lot of you [that you] feel like your TV family is fighting,\u201d Fishman said in the video posted on his Instagram<\/a> page. \u201cI had the privilege of growing up with so many of you or around so many of you. And the truth is, I\u2019m gonna keep pushing out love and light because it\u2019s the path that I\u2019ve chosen over the years.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHe continued: \u201cOur show has been a comfort show for you. So I want you to know we\u2019re not going to ruin it. I\u2019m going to do whatever I can to uphold that legacy and make sure it stays with you.\u201d He added that \u201cthe show meant something to me as a kid,\u201d and \u201cit became even more real afterward.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cGentle reminder to shine,\u201d he wrote under the video. \u201cWe find our way home and back together.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tFishman appeared on all nine seasons of \u201cRoseanne,\u201d which ran from 1988 to 1997, and the nine-episode revival season that aired in 2018. At the time, Variety<\/a> reported that the show finished its first season as the number one scripted primetime television show in the 18-49 age range. Fishman also reprised his role for four seasons on the follow-up \u201cThe Conners,\u201d which ran for seven seasons from 2018 to 2025.<\/p>\n
