Sabrina Carpenter debuted her outfit during the MTV VMAs ceremony: a vintage Dolce & Gabbana dress.The singer had nine nominations. This marked her first red carpet in months.<\/p>\n
Sabrina Carpenter joined Madonna as one of her surprise guests during her opening performance and didn\u2019t unveil her dress on the red carpet. Instead, she debuted it inside when she accepted the award for Best Collaboration with Madonna. Carpenter chose a tiered vintage Dolce & Gabbana gown<\/a> with black tassels and detailing.<\/p>\n Carpenter was nominated for Artist of the Year, \u201cTears\u201d was up for Video of the Year, and Man\u2019s Best Friend competed for Best Album. Her duet with Madonna, \u201cBring Your Love,\u201d was nominated for Song of the Year and won Best Collaboration. Her song, \u201cHouse Tour,\u201d meanwhile, was up for Best Pop, Best Direction, Best Editing, and Song of the Summer.<\/p>\n Sabrina Carpenter during her last major event, Christian Dior\u2019s haute couture fall\/winter 2026\/2027 show on July 6.<\/p>\n Carpenter recently won<\/a> her first Emmy. In April, she spoke to Marc Jacobs for Perfect magazine<\/a> about the control she has over her tours, videos, and album covers.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s changed in the last five years,\u201d she said. \u201cBack in 2021, I signed with Island Records. That was the beginning of everything shifting and me feeling really in control of what I was doing. Everything you just said\u2014the videos, the covers, the merch, the tour especially\u2014it\u2019s all something that clicked one day, and I just realized, \u2018Oh my gosh, this is what makes it feel special and uniquely myself. It\u2019s me running the show.\u2019 It\u2019s a lot more hats to wear and a lot more jobs to do, but it\u2019s those little changes that if I was doing it with someone who was directing me on what to do, it wouldn\u2019t feel so personal to me. I work with my sister [Sarah Carpenter<\/a>] a lot. She has been my creative partner with pretty much everything I do. We kind of share a brain. She\u2019s just got such an amazing creative eye. She\u2019s a great photographer. She just has incredible taste. We\u2019ve been best friends our whole lives, so she knows me better than anyone.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI love collaborating with amazing directors and cinematographers and writers,\u201d she added. \u201cThat is where I get really excited, to be able to bring different worlds together.
