Luckily, these jaws had no bite.<\/p>\n

A shark was seen swimming in the nor\u2019easter-flooded streets<\/a> of New Jersey this weekend \u2014 but thankfully a \u201charmless\u201d one without sharp teeth.<\/p>\n

A local filmed the fish in the floodwaters in Surf City on Saturday, with video showing its dorsal fin poking through the surface near a woman\u2019s driveway, according to the video obtained by ABC News<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIs that a little shark?\u201d a woman asks in the clip. \u201cOh my God, he\u2019s coming this way.\u201d<\/p>\n

Thankfully, the shark appears to be a \u201charmless\u201d dogfish, a type of shark common to the area and one without sharp teeth,\u00a0according to Dr. Greg Skomal, a white shark expert with the Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The shark reportedly swam up the resident\u2019s home on Long Beach Island as Barnegat Bay flooded over in Surf City, which was inundated with as much as four feet of water this weekend.<\/a><\/p>\n

The nor\u2019easter caused widespread flooding<\/a> along the East Coast, with winds up to 70 mph knocking out power for thousands.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Luckily, these jaws had no bite.
