Teresa Giudice released her first statement on the \u201cpsychological trauma\u201d daughter Milania Giudice is navigating nearly one week after their airport clash<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe past few months have been incredibly difficult for our family, and I feel it is important to say something while also protecting my daughter during an extremely vulnerable time in her life,\u201d the \u201cReal Housewives of New Jersey\u201d star wrote via Instagram Stories on Monday.<\/p>\n

\u201cMilania has experienced tremendous heartbreak and significant psychological trauma after losing two of her best friends,\u201d she continued. <\/p>\n

Teresa Giudice broke her silence on Milania Giudice\u2019s airport drama on Monday. milania.ggiudice\/Instagram<\/p>\n

In a lengthy Instagram Story statement, the Bravolebrity wrote about the \u201cpsychological trauma\u201d her 20-year-old is currently experiencing. Instagram\/teresagiudice<\/p>\n

The 20-year-old\u2019s best friend, Victoria Zardoya, died in July after a fatal fall. Two months later, her great-grandmother died ahead of her 99th birthday.<\/p>\n

\u201cGrief affects everyone differently, and watching your child try to process that kind of loss is something no parent can ever truly prepare for,\u201d the Bravolebrity added.<\/p>\n

She noted that her \u201conly focus is making sure [Milania] is surrounded by love, family, support and the care she needs\u201d during \u201can incredibly difficult and deeply personal time.\u201d<\/p>\n

The reality star told her followers the University of Tampa student \u201cdeserves the opportunity to heal without every moment of her pain being analyzed publicly,\u201d asking for \u201ccompassion and kindness.\u201d<\/p>\n

Teresa \u2014 who is also the mother of daughters<\/a> Gia, 25, Gabriella, 21, and Audriana, 17 \u2014 concluded, \u201cGive Milania and our entire family the privacy and space we need as we navigate this together. Thank you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Her ex-husband, Joe Giudice, similarly told Page Six in an exclusive statement<\/a> last week that Milania is \u201cyoung and going through a very difficult period.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 54-year-old said, \u201cLosing someone you love is incredibly painful, and grief does not have a timeline,\u201d he said of the \u201ctremendous\u201d effect Zardoya\u2019s death had on Milania. \u201cShe has been trying to process that loss while also dealing with the pressures that come with growing up in the public eye.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added that recent headlines \u201cdo not define who Milania is as a person,\u201d telling us, \u201cMilania is a good girl. She has a big heart, she loves deeply, and she cares enormously about the people in her life.\u201d<\/p>\n

Milania\u2019s rep, meanwhile, exclusively told Page Six on Thursday that she is \u201cunder the care of professionals.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

The statement, in part, read, \u201cMilania is deeply loved by her family and friends, and all of us are doing everything we can to support her as she navigates an incredibly difficult time in her life. \u2026 In time, she hopes that being open about her experiences may help other young people facing their own struggles.\u201d<\/p>\n

Milania has had a tumultuous year, beginning with her domestic violence arrest<\/a> in May and subsequent enrollment in anger management classes<\/a>. Her next hearing<\/a> is Sept. 29.<\/p>\n

She sparked concern on Sept. 23 by posting and deleting a video lashing out at Teresa and Gia while at the Tampa International Airport surrounded by cops.<\/p>\n

The moment was captured in bodycam footage<\/a> obtained by Page Six on Sept. 28, which also showed Teresa telling Milania she \u201cwants to save [her] life\u201d and letting officials know her daughter \u201chad fentanyl in her system.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

Milania replied that she \u201cwas laced\u201d \u2014 and went on to ask her mom whether she\u2019d put her \u201cback in the psych ward.\u201d<\/p>\n

The college student, per an incident report, had recently been released from a hospital when she went missing at the airport, running away from Teresa, Gia and a counselor. <\/p>\n

The report stated Milania, who was experiencing a \u201cmental breakdown\u201d and \u201csuicidal thoughts,\u201d<\/a> was found approximately 45 minutes later and boarded her flight with her family.<\/p>\n

While Gia has yet to speak out on the incident, she did reply to a TikTok comment about the \u201cjob\u201d of an older sibling assuming the \u201ccalm peacemaker\u201d role<\/a>.<\/p>\n
