Just because you are a handsome and successful movie star does not make you immune from your teenagers razzing you. In fact, your very public foibles will probably just become fodder for their taunts. Ben Affleck<\/a> has learned this the hard way at his own dinner table, where his three kids are apparently teaming up to roast his ass.<\/p>\n Affleck appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last Thursday, where he revealed that he has been demoted from \u201ccool dad\u201d status by the three children<\/a> he shares with ex-wife Jennifer Garner<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cNow I give advice and try to talk to them \u2014 parent them, as you do,\u201d Affleck told Kimmel. \u201cWhat I found is that now it\u2019s not only one teenager rolling their eyes, I\u2019ll kind of launch into something at the dinner table and I\u2019ll catch them giving each other looks and I realize I\u2019m the caricature in this story. Where I see them being like, Oh, Dad is saying this again.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n \u201cI couldn\u2019t imagine I wouldn\u2019t be the cool dad,\u201d Affleck said. Instead of thinking he\u2019s cool, Affleck\u2019s kids \u2014 Violet<\/a>, 20; Fin, 17; and Samuel<\/a>, 14 \u2014 seem to see him more as an inspiration for punch lines.<\/p>\n \u201cMy kids are talking at dinner and they\u2019re talking about their friends and the drama and the relationships and I have some lived experience<\/a>, I think, that\u2019s worth sharing, some lessons<\/a>,\u201d Affleck said. \u201cYou know, these are the kind of things we give to our children. And I said, \u2018You know, well, the thing about that relationship there \u2026\u2019 and the 17-year-old turns to me and goes, \u2018Oh, like you\u2019re the expert on relationships?\u2019\u201d The teen was, of course, referencing Affleck\u2019s two messy divorces with Jennifers Garner and Lopez.<\/p>\n \u201cI was with the same kid, I went to the bookstore with them and you know how they put all the displays with the books up, you see the titles, we\u2019re just browsing around some book by a French guy, and it\u2019s called I\u2019m Sorry for Everything,\u201d Affleck continued. \u201cMy kid immediately just turns to me deadpan and goes, \u2018Oh look, Dad, it\u2019s your autobiography.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n Ouch. It seems like Fin in particular is really getting good at hitting Affleck where it hurts. Luckily, Affleck loves it. \u201cI was kind of proud of them though,\u201d he said. \u201cI\u2019m like, my kid skirts the line. I like that.\u201d<\/p>\n Honestly, this all sounds really fun and healthy. Affleck\u2019s laughing, the kids are laughing, we\u2019re all laughing! What I really want to know is how hard are these teens going at him for his giant phoenix back tattoo<\/a>?
