Sylvester Stallone appeared at the four-day food and beverage fest \u2014\u00a0Drink Las Vegas<\/a> at the Bellagio \u2014 over the weekend, where the \u201cRocky\u201d star regaled fans with some behind-the-scenes tales of his 1977 Oscar-winning film.<\/p>\n

Turns out that the classic on-screen smooch between Stallone and his co-star Talia Shire\u00a0\u2014 which has been named by Backstage as one of the top 10 movie kisses<\/a> of all time \u2014 was actually, \u201cthe kiss from hell,\u201d Stallone said.<\/p>\n

The moving scene, of course, calls for penniless pugilist Rocky Balboa to lock lips with his geeky goddess Adrian.<\/p>\n

Fifty years later, Stallone \u2014 who also famously penned the \u201cRocky\u201d screenplay \u2014 recalled at the classy Carbone Riviera lunch in Sin City, \u201cSo Adrian comes to my apartment. She\u2019s never had a boyfriend. Me, I\u2019m kind of a loser\u2026 scary, in a torn wife beater shirt. Not exactly that safest looking guy. In this cockroach infested dump.\u201d<\/p>\n

Stallone appeared at Carbone Riviera for the chat. @JPASC24<\/p>\n

But there was a record-scratch moment on the set, Stallone said, when, \u201cThen I go in to kiss her \u2014 pull the hat off, the glasses \u2014 and\u2026 her nose is running. Badly. So we go in for the kiss and she goes [bad coughing noise]. And I go, \u2018Oh my God!\u2019 And I have to keep moving forward. There is no reverse. So I knew exactly as soon as I kissed her that within an hour I had the flu.\u201d<\/p>\n

Soon after the fateful silver screen make-out sesh, \u201cI\u2019m in bed. Runny nose,\u201d Stallone said. \u201cI\u2019m serious! [I\u2019m] losing weight. [I\u2019m] hot\u2026 That was the kiss from hell.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBut it worked! It worked!\u201d he enthused.<\/p>\n

The making of the film<\/a> is the subject of a movie that\u2019s now on a trajectory for its own potential Oscar run, \u201cI Play Rocky,\u201d directed by Peter Farrelly with Anthony Ippolito as Stallone.<\/p>\n

At the Bellagio foodie event, Stallone appeared in conversation with the dapper president of entertainment at MGM Resorts International, and former CAA agent, Ryan Abboushi.<\/p>\n

The \u201cTulsa King\u201d star, 80, also elaborated on his years-long rivalry with fellow action hero Arnold Schwarzenegger, 79. \u201cThat was no joke\u2026 for 20 years,\u201d he said. \u201cBut I like that. Because that made me work harder, it made him dig harder. I kind of used to challenge [people], \u2018Oh that guy did this? Bury him!\u2019 That aggressiveness has gone to the side.
