MILLBRAE \u2014 Authorities on Friday arrested a Peninsula man on suspicion of breaking into a Millbrae retirement community and stealing a cellphone and a package.<\/p>\n
The break-in happened around 1:15 a.m. in the 200 block of Chadbourne Avenue, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n
The suspect ran from staff members, but deputies found him a few blocks away, authorities said.<\/p>\n
Deputies used video evidence and witness statements to identify the suspect as a 19-year-old San Mateo man. A stolen cellphone and package were also found in his possession, authorities said.<\/p>\n
The man was arrested and booked into the Maguire Correctional Facility in Redwood City on charges of burglary and mail theft.<\/p>\n
