Around the same time last year, the company closed more than 200 North American locations \u2014 including eight in Quebec \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/montrealgazette.com\/business\/starbucks-is-struggling-including-in-montreal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">while struggling to compete in a saturated market.<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe have carefully reviewed our North America coffee-house portfolio and identified locations where we do not believe we can consistently deliver the experience we want for customers and partners or where we don\u2019t see a path to acceptable financial performance,\u201d Starbucks chief operating officer Mike Grams wrote in a statement.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Gazette has verified that the following locations in Quebec closed over the weekend:<\/p>\n<p>751 Mont-Royal Ave. E. in Montreal<\/p>\n<p>1457 Ste-Catherine St. W. in Montreal<\/p>\n<p>5200 Cousineau Blvd. in St-Hubert<\/p>\n<p>2000 de l\u2019\u00c9clipse St. in Brossard (Solar Uniquartier)<\/p>\n<p>\t\tEditor\u2019s Picks\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Stores that have closed will have signage to notify customers, according to an email statement from a Starbucks spokesperson, who did not indicate the number of Quebec locations that closed over the weekend.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"900\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/img_5422.jpg\" alt=\"A note on a shuttered Starbucks.\" class=\"wp-image-100294815\"  \/>A note on a shuttered Starbucks outlet at 751 Mont-Royal Ave. E. in Montreal. Courtesy of Howard Schultz<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cStarbucks continues to invest in Quebec, with new coffee-house openings and uplifts planned for the coming year,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The spokesperson said Starbucks is focusing on supporting employees through the transition and transferring them to other company locations wherever possible. Starbucks says it will provide \u201cseverance and transition support\u201d for employees who are not placed to work in another location.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Know of any other Starbucks locations closing in Quebec?
