{"id":866359,"date":"2026-09-30T22:22:12","date_gmt":"2026-09-30T22:22:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/866359\/"},"modified":"2026-09-30T22:22:12","modified_gmt":"2026-09-30T22:22:12","slug":"every-house-is-haunted-acquired-by-20th-adam-schindler-brian-netto-helming","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/866359\/","title":{"rendered":"Every House Is Haunted Acquired By 20th; Adam Schindler, Brian Netto Helming"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tEXCLUSIVE: After acquiring Jason Pagan and Andrew Deutschman\u2019s genre script <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/every-house-is-haunted\/\" id=\"auto-tag_every-house-is-haunted\" data-tag=\"every-house-is-haunted\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Every House Is Haunted<\/a>, based on the Ian Rogers short story \u201cThe House on Ashley Avenue,\u201d in 2021, <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/netflix\/\" id=\"auto-tag_netflix\" data-tag=\"netflix\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Netflix<\/a> has sold the project to <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/20th-century-studios\/\" id=\"auto-tag_20th-century-studios\" data-tag=\"20th-century-studios\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">20th Century Studios<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/adam-schindler\/\" id=\"auto-tag_adam-schindler\" data-tag=\"adam-schindler\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Adam Schindler<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/brian-netto\/\" id=\"auto-tag_brian-netto\" data-tag=\"brian-netto\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Brian Netto<\/a>, the filmmaking duo behind the 2024 Netflix thriller Don\u2019t Move, starring Kelsey Asbille and Finn Wittrock, will direct and do their own pass on the script by Pagan and Deutschman. They take the project over from Corin Hardy, who\u2019d previously been attached to direct.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tEvery House Is Haunted follows an insurance investigator who tries to debunk claims that a couple\u2019s death was caused by a haunted house, only for his doubts to be challenged by a psychic and the mysterious occurrences he witnesses with his own eyes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tSam Raimi and Zainab Azizi are producing for Raimi Productions (Send Help), alongside Roy Lee (Weapons) and Andrew Childs (The Long Walk) for Vertigo Entertainment. Ian Rogers and Starlight Media, which kickstarted development with an option of the source material, are exec producing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tSVP of Production J.R. Young is overseeing the project, reporting to 20th President Steve Asbell.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tSchindler and Netto are an L.A.-based filmmaking duo whose thriller Don\u2019t Move nabbed the No. 1 spot on Netflix\u2019s global film chart during its first two weeks on the service. Asbille plays a grieving woman injected with a paralytic drug who must then run, hide and fight her would-be killer before her body shuts down. That film, penned by T.J. Cimfel and David White, also counted Raimi and Azizi amongst its producers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tSchindler and Netto are now in post on Nightwatching, a survival thriller starring Mila Kunis and Corey Hawkins and produced by Ridley Scott. A production of Scott Free, Fifth Season, Picturestart and Brick For Sheep, it\u2019ll be distributed internationally by Amazon MGM Studios. The filmmakers are represented by Gersh and Persistent.
