Early Wednesday morning it visited her family\u2019s home and left behind damage.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cThis is what we woke up to,\u201d Koski said, pointing to a glass panel that had been ripped off the metal canopy of a truck that was parked in their driveway. The bear was clearly trying to get inside, attracted by a distinctively sweet smell.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cWe did not have any donuts in the house, but the truck does smell like donuts,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Koski and her husband own Jason\u2019s Donuts in Eagle River, and while the attempted break-in didn\u2019t happen there, Koski says the truck is used to haul donutty smelling trash from the shop.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cIt frequently gets the aroma of donuts within the truck,\u201d she said. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" fetchpriority=\"low\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"Andreea Koski shows where a brown bear tried to break into the garage\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/GOI6LCPEUJAQNJ52JFXKCTPDGU.png\" width=\"980\" height=\"551\" \/>Andreea Koski shows where a brown bear tried to break into the garage(ktuu)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">But the bear didn\u2019t stop there, it also attacked the families\u2019 garage door where Koski said there was nothing smelly inside.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cHis claw marks are all the way up at the top, off to the side here,\u201d she said pointing. \u201cIt looks like there\u2019s a nose mark right there.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">David Huntingdon, a manager at Pioneer Doors, was working on a garage door right next door that had also been attacked by a bear. He said he\u2019d heard of three doors that were damaged in the neighborhood overnight.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cIt looks like, to me, like they\u2019re hitting the door, trying to get in for whatever goodies are inside and they are ripping the rollers out and bending, creasing the sections in. I don\u2019t know if they are gaining entrance into the garage but this one here is pretty destroyed,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Koski said she knows what the bear was after at her house.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cHe was trying to get the donuts,\u201d she laughed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The couple decided to close their shop on Wednesday while they waited for someone to make repairs at their home.
