\n\tQuavo<\/a> recently opened up about how the death of his nephew and Migos<\/a> groupmate Takeoff<\/a> impacted his then-fractured relationship with fellow group member Offset<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI feel like it eased it a little bit,\u201d said the singer during a video interview with Complex<\/a>. \u201cIt threw out all the things that I was upset about or that we had friction about. I don\u2019t know on his end; I\u2019m just talking for me. I feel like it was enough just for me to say, \u2018All right, cool. Whatever.\u2019 \u2018Whatever you\u2019re going through, I go through it with you. And whatever I\u2019m going through, I hope you understand what I\u2019m going through.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tTakeoff<\/a> died in Nov. 2022 at the age of 28 when he was shot at a bowling alley in downtown Houston. The three members of the hip-hop trio grew up together and began releasing music under the name Migos in 2011 with their first mixtape, \u201cJuung Season.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHe continued: \u201cAs long as I understand whatever everybody be going through and that I can\u2019t control or can\u2019t be upset or emotional about\u2026 that\u2019s where that chrome outer layer comes from\u2026 That part of me losing my brother and understanding that it can\u2019t get no tougher than that. So, whatever that\u2019s in front of me that I got to deal with to make my life more easier\u2026 and to give these fans what they want, I\u2019m going to do it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIn 2024, Quavo received Variety\u2019s Hitmakers Humanitarian of the Year award<\/a> for his gun control efforts. Following Takeoff\u2019s death, he established the Rocket Foundation in 2022, an organization dedicated to honoring his late nephew\u2019s legacy and combating the ongoing issue of gun violence in Atlanta and beyond.<\/p>\n
