Jimmy Kimmel<\/a> on Wednesday night recalled that it was just over a year ago when he was pulled off the air<\/a> after Federal Communications Commission Chair Brendan Carr<\/a> threatened ABC over a joke<\/a> he made about the killing of right-wing activist Charlie Kirk<\/a>. <\/p>\n

\u201cWhile I would like to say that things have improved over the last year, they haven\u2019t really,\u201d Kimmel said. \u201cWe are still being threatened by the FCC.\u201d <\/p>\n

At that moment, screen icon Robert De Niro<\/a> crashed the set, not as himself but as the FCC chair. <\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019re being threatened by the FCC?\u201d he asked. \u201cWho is threatening you? Am I threatening you? Do you feel threatened by me?\u201d <\/p>\n

As he spoke, he poked Kimmel with a baseball bat \u2015 a not-so-subtle nod to one of his most chilling scenes<\/a> as mob boss Al Capone in \u201cThe Untouchables.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHey, look who it is everybody. It\u2019s the chairman of the FCC,\u201d Kimmel said. \u201cWhat was your name again?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMy name is none of your fucking business,\u201d De Niro said, adding that he was there for an \u201cinspection\u201d of the show. <\/p>\n

\u201cNow if you will shut that fucking mouth of yours, I have a few items I\u2019d like to discuss,\u201d De Niro said as he brought out a list of 192 insults Kimmel aimed at President Donald Trump<\/a>. <\/p>\n

When Kimmel tried to interject, De Niro cut him off. <\/p>\n

\u201cDid I tell you it was your turn to talk, numb nuts?\u201d he said. \u201cYou speak when I tell you to speak and otherwise you shut the fuck up.\u201d<\/p>\n

De Niro said that, from now on, Kimmel would have to follow each Trump insult with something nice about the president, and offered him an example. <\/p>\n

\u201cIf you were to say something like, \u2018Trump wasn\u2019t invited to Jeffrey Epstein\u2019s birthday party cuz they were afraid he\u2019d start eating the cake before the kid jumped out,\u2019 then you got to also compliment his penmanship in that naked lady birthday poem<\/a> he didn\u2019t write,\u201d De Niro explained. \u201cAm I clear?\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cNot really,\u201d Kimmel said. \u201cIt just seems to me like you\u2019re trying to control what I do and do not say by abusing the power of the federal government.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cFinally! You got it,\u201d De Niro said. \u201cDumb fuck is finally starting to get it!\u201d <\/p>\n

Then, with one last profanity \u2015 \u201cFuck the Red Sox!\u201d \u2015 he walked off the set to cheers. <\/p>\n
