From <a href=\"https:\/\/www.alaskasnewssource.com\/2026\/10\/02\/watch-anchorage-homeowner-says-two-bull-mooses-late-night-brawl-flattened-fences-damaged-camper\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.alaskasnewssource.com\/2026\/10\/02\/watch-anchorage-homeowner-says-two-bull-mooses-late-night-brawl-flattened-fences-damaged-camper\/\">fighting moose<\/a> to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.alaskasnewssource.com\/2026\/10\/01\/bear-claws-eagle-river-doors-rips-truck-canopy-apart-chasing-donut-smell-owner-says\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.alaskasnewssource.com\/2026\/10\/01\/bear-claws-eagle-river-doors-rips-truck-canopy-apart-chasing-donut-smell-owner-says\/\">a donut-seeking bear<\/a>, residents are reporting interesting encounters.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Early Saturday, Emily Schubert and her husband woke up to loud crashing noises. Two large bull moose were having a ferocious fight in their midtown Anchorage backyard.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201dI just flipped open the bedroom window and was like- \u2018Wait is this really happening here?\u2019 And then I turned to my husband, and I was like \u2014 I hope the camera\u2019s caught that!\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Security cameras captured the whole ordeal including the moose crashing through the couple\u2019s metal fence several times. Surveying the damage in the morning, Schubert found it all a little shocking.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cGoing through a fence like it was a twig,\u201d Schubert said, adding that while she wasn\u2019t pleased, everything could be repaired.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">On Tuesday morning Andreea Koski also had a wildlife encounter at her Eagle River home. Sometime during the night, a huge brown bear attempted to bash-in her garage door, leaving claw marks on the outside. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The bear tore the back panel off a truck that was parked in the driveway. Koski said she knows why it wanted to get inside.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cThe bear loves donuts!\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Koski and her husband own Jason\u2019s Donut\u2019s in Eagle River. They use the truck to transport donut smelling trash and the sweet smell lingers inside. She said she\u2019s not surprised that a hungry bear might find the smell of donuts irresistible. Even so, she\u2019s hoping he doesn\u2019t come back. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Fish and Game is reminding people that male moose are currently in the rutting season which can make them aggressive and unpredictable. They\u2019re also asking anyone who sees a brown bear in an Anchorage neighborhood to report it immediately.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">See a spelling or grammar error?
