Paramount now owns Warner Discovery, which owns HBO, which owns my ass,\u201d he said during his opening monologue. \u201cWhoever owns me now, don\u2019t believe what Trump is tweeting about me. Did you see what he said about me this weekend? He said my ratings are so low, \u2018it\u2019s just sad.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tMaher continued, \u201cYou know what, Mr. President? Your insults don\u2019t bother me. Make up whatever shit you want about me, just don\u2019t mention I went to Cornell.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tOn Wednesday, a federal judge cleared the way for the $110 billion deal to close, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2026\/09\/paramount-warner-merger-a-go-a-approves-legal-setttlement-1237143611\/\">approving the settlement<\/a> between Paramount and a group of state AGs that filed an antitrust lawsuit to block the Warner Bros. Discovery acquisition.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tCEO David Ellison revealed on Friday that the combined company <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2026\/10\/paramount-warner-bros-skydance-david-ellison-1237143716\/\">will now be known as Skydance<\/a>, under which Paramount and Warner Bros. will supposedly remain individual entities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"As the Paramount-Warner Bros merger goes through, Bill Maher has a message for his new Skydance bosses.
