(KOLN) \u2014 After a rainy Thursday kept golfers off courses across the Lincoln area, Crooked Creek Golf Club was packed Friday and booked through at least the end of the day.<\/p>\n
General Manager and Director of Golf Operations Jared Keenan said the course doesn\u2019t need any more rain for the next week and needs a few days to dry out.<\/p>\n
Keenan, who has worked at Crooked Creek for more than a decade, said what sets the course apart is its continuous cart path all the way around.<\/p>\n
\u201cOn days like today where the city of Lincoln courses aren\u2019t allowing carts, we get a lot of traffic out here because we have a continuous cart path all the way around the golf course,\u201d Keenan said.<\/p>\n

Among the dozens booked Friday was Tyler Lauer, who was out with a group from PGA HOPE, an organization that supports local combat veterans.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is amazing out today. It\u2019s a little wet, but we\u2019ll take the wetness on the course with the nice bright sun out,\u201d Lauer said.<\/p>\n
With nice weather in the forecast for the next week or more, Keenan said the course is expected to stay busy even as the ground continues to dry out.<\/p>\n
