Amid outside questions about how quickly the new-look Philadelphia 76ers will adapt to playing with each other, LeBron James is apparently having a breeze working with Joel Embiid. <\/p>\n
Speaking to reporters<\/a> after Saturday’s Blue and White scrimmage, James said “it’s been great” building chemistry with Embiid because of their experience as teammates with the United States during the 2024 Olympics. <\/p>\n The 2024 Olympics marked Embiid’s first time playing in the Summer Games. He has citizenship in both the United States and France, opting to play for the former in part because of his comfort level<\/a> with players on Team USA’s roster. <\/p>\n Saturday marked the first game action for the Sixers after adding James and Jaylen Brown in the offseason. Things seemed to be working well for the new group. <\/p>\n James, in particular, showcased all of the things that have made him great for the previous 23 seasons, including feeding Embiid on a three-pointer. <\/p>\n After the scrimmage wrapped up, James described Saturday as a “great first step” for the club and a chance to show Philadelphia fans what they have been working on behind the scenes this summer. <\/p>\n Sixers head coach Nick Nurse has the task of making all of these pieces fit together, but it’s a good position to be in when the players are James, Brown, Embiid, Tyrese Maxey and VJ Edgecombe. <\/p>\n
