PORTLAND, Ore \u2014 Two men suffered non-life-threatening gunshot wounds after a shooting in downtown Portland early Saturday, police said.<\/p>\n
Officers responded around 12:20 a.m. to a reported disturbance near Southwest 3rd Avenue and West Burnside Street. While on their way, officers heard gunfire and found evidence of a shooting at the scene, but no victims or suspects were located.<\/p>\n
Police later identified a possible suspect vehicle leaving downtown on Interstate 84. Officers attempted a traffic stop, but the driver fled at high speed. They did not pursue the vehicle; instead, Portland Police\u2019s Air Support Unit tracked it until its occupants stopped near Northeast 58th Avenue and Northeast Flanders Street and ran into the neighborhood.<\/p>\n
Officers from multiple precincts and the K9 unit surrounded the area and detained four men as the investigation continued.<\/p>\n
Police learned that two adult men had arrived at a local hospital by private vehicle with gunshot wounds. Both were treated for injuries that were not considered life-threatening.<\/p>\n
The Portland Police Bureau\u2019s Enhanced Community Safety Team is investigating.
