The new brand launched today and is featuring programming from Cumulus\u2019 Westwood One Sports Network along with play-by-play of the NFL\u2019s Denver Broncos, NBA\u2019s Utah Jazz, NHL\u2019s Utah Mammoth, and local high school sports. <\/p>\n

General Manager Kevin O\u2019Rorke told Riverbend\u2019s EastIdahoNews<\/a>, \u201cWe\u2019ll be covering high school match-ups and scores, player of the week, using our creative content partner, East Idaho Sports. It will be a fun station with a lot of attitude,\u201d he says. \u201cThe GOAT is coming on the scene proclaiming himself as the best sports talk station around \u2026 but also laughing at himself in a self-deprecating way. He\u2019ll be out in the community at games and sporting events, giving stuff away. It\u2019s designed to take the levity of sports and bring it to life on radio.\u201d<\/p>\n

He also noted that the market was saturated with Country programming, \u201cWe just felt it was a better opportunity from a listening and advertising standpoint to be the big dog in a less crowded space. There\u2019s only one other sports station in the market, and it has a very small signal. Our ability to competitively be the dominant player right away is why we\u2019re doing it.\u201d<\/p>\n

KTHK previously competed with Idaho Wireless Corporation\u2019s 93.9 KZBQ<\/a> Pocatello, Sandhill Media Group\u2019s 99.1 KUPI<\/a> Rexburg, and Rich Broadcasting\u2019s \u201c96.1\/102.1 The Wolf<\/a>\u201d KWFI Aberdeen\/KWFO Driggs.
