Reports emerged just hours before the team was set to take the field, that Johnson was questionable due to personal reasons, and he was announced as officially out and listed with the team\u2019s inactives.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1upudxki _174s0un1 _174s0un0 _1mt21p01\">To make matter worse, Lane\u2019s backup, Fred Johnson, was also ruled out for this game due to injury. This means we could see a lot of rookie Markel Bell, who did at least get some reps at right tackle during camp. Their only other backup offensive linemen are Willie Lampkin and Micah Morris, who are interior blockers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1upudxki _174s0un1 _174s0un0 _1mt21p01\">The Eagles offensive line already lost Landon Dickerson to IR, moved Cam Jurgens over to left guard in his place, and then added Drew Kendall in at center. Quarterback Jalen Hurts lauded Kendall\u2019s effort in his first game in his new role, and was one of the few highlights last week against the Bears.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1upudxki _174s0un1 _174s0un0 _1mt21p01\">Still, having Lane miss Sunday\u2019s game is not ideal. He missed a good portion of training camp due to a personal situation, and he insinuated that whatever he was dealing with was pushing him toward retirement after this season.
