Kelsey Mitchell is set to become an unrestricted free agent and could leave the Indiana Fever after nine seasons. She and the team failed to live up to expectations as a preseason title favorite, losing in the first round to the Las Vegas Aces. Fans are bracing for her departure in Indianapolis based on her latest comments.

Mitchell shined this season by breaking several league records. She now owns the most consecutive regular-season games with 20-plus points and the most in a single campaign. However, her strong performances were not enough to advance to next round and dethrone the defending champions.

The 30-year-old earned her fourth All-Star nod this year and formed the highest-scoring backcourt in WNBA history. She also set a new mark for most three-pointers and points in a season.
