While on the podcast, the two discussed their individual health journeys and Katie recalled when she found out she was diagnosed with breast cancer.\u00a0<\/p>\n
As she reflected on that time, the former Bachelorette revealed that she had planned to write a letter for Jeff\u2019s future wife because she didn\u2019t know what the future held after receiving her diagnosis.\u00a0<\/p>\n
She shared, \u201cThis will be sad. I didn\u2019t know how long I was going to live. And so I remember thinking like, I\u2019m going to write a letter to his future wife because I didn\u2019t know. I knew he\u2019d stay. You know, and I also just thought like I wasn\u2019t going to be around for very long. But, here I am.\u201d<\/p>\n

Katie continued, confirming that she was never worried Jeff would leave her.<\/p>\n
Answering Joe\u2019s question, she said, \u201cI never thought he would leave, I was ready to give him permission to. I was ready to, like I said, write a letter to whoever his future wife would be. I don\u2019t even think he knows that.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
Katie then added that they\u2019re still figuring out what their life looks like, but revealed what’s helped them navigate this chapter.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
She stated, \u201cWe\u2019re figuring out what our new norm is. I\u2019m here, my health is great, it\u2019s been working. He\u2019s the best\u2026 We\u2019ve really just navigated this whole thing through humor and I think that\u2019s helped so much.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
