Police in Gilmanton say they were searching for someone in connection with a large police presence in Epsom more than two weeks ago.<\/p>\n

There was a large police presence near Route 140 in Gilmanton for hours on Monday. It has since cleared.<\/p>\n

Officials say Dana Hathaway<\/a>, 29, violated probation and fled from officers<\/a> on Sept. 18 near Suncook Valley Highway in Epsom when they tried to arrest him. He was not found.<\/p>\n

Gilmanton police did not say whether they were specifically searching for Hathaway. Hathaway’s criminal history includes charges for robbery and assault.<\/p>\n

A blue Nissan was seen being towed away from the scene in Gilmanton on Monday, approximately 20 miles from the Epsom search. Roughly 30 minutes later, News 9 witnessed the tow truck leaving the police station without the car. <\/p>\n

Police say there is no known threat to the public at this point.<\/p>\n
