"CaitlinCaitlin Clark-Sydney Colson drama erupts after alleged Instagram ‘unfollow’ linked to heated courtside incident Caitlin Clark is facing attention after an alleged Instagram unfollow involving former Indiana Fever teammate Sydney Colson became linked online to a courtside incident during Indiana’s playoff game against the Las Vegas Aces. Colson was involved in a heated exchange with a Fever fan while supporting A’ja Wilson on September 29. A report later said Clark no longer followed Colson on Instagram, but there is no public statement from Clark so far explaining the change or connecting it to the incident. The theory has revived Colson’s earlier comments about a foul involving Clark and Alyssa Thomas.

What happened between Caitlin Clark and Sydney Colson at the Fever game

The controversy began during Game 2 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Indiana beat Las Vegas 99-89, with Clark finishing with 27 points, 15 assists and seven rebounds. The win tied the first-round series at 1-1.Late in the fourth quarter, A’ja Wilson confronted a Fever fan after a play involving Sophie Cunningham. Wilson received a technical foul. Sydney Colson, who was working as part of Amazon’s WNBA coverage, also became involved in the exchange. Video showed Colson speaking toward the fan before arena staff stepped in.The Indiana Fever later said security spoke with the fan and witnesses and found no violation of its Fan Code of Conduct. The fan was not removed from the arena.Colson had been Clark’s teammate in 2025, when she played 30 games for Indiana before suffering a left ACL injury. She entered free agency after that season and worked in basketball broadcasting during 2026.

Why Caitlin Clark’s alleged Instagram unfollow is being discussed

The Instagram claim gained attention after an X user said Clark no longer followed Colson. A September 30 report also said Colson continued to follow Clark. That shows a social-media change was being discussed, but not when it happened or why.The timing has led some fans to connect it with Colson’s involvement in the September 29 incident. Others have pointed to comments Colson made about Clark earlier in the year.During a June ESPN appearance, Colson discussed Alyssa Thomas’ contact with Clark and said, “Looking at the game, nobody reacted in real time. Caitlin got up [and] ran down the court. You know, there was no indication that more was wrong,” before adding, “Do I think it was a Flagrant 2? Not at all. But I also grew up in an era where it’s very physical.”The WNBA later upgraded Thomas’ foul to a Flagrant 2 and suspended her for one game. Clark had said she believed the play was a flagrant foul.Still, there is no verified public statement from Clark saying Colson’s comments or the September 29 exchange led to an Instagram unfollow. The claim therefore should be treated as unconfirmed rather than proof of a dispute. The bigger picture is that Indiana’s playoff run ended two days later. Las Vegas won Game 3, 94-83, on October 1 and took the series 2-1. The WNBA’s official records confirm the game results and Clark’s Game 2 numbers, but they do not establish a reason for any change in the players’ Instagram connection.

Caitlin Clark-Sydney Colson drama erupts after alleged Instagram ‘unfollow’ linked to heated courtside incident Caitlin Clark is facing…

[73
15447,1760,2839,367672,4677,99,9218,434,70908
post-872539","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-wnba","tag-alyssa-thomas","tag-caitlin-clark","tag-indiana-fever","tag-instagram-unfollow","tag-las-vegas-aces","tag-sports","tag-sydney-colson","tag-wnba","tag-wnba-playoffs
["GET
