Just a devastating way to commemorate his 31st birthday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTwo of my last three seasons ended this way,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DeK8hH8kQPC\/?hl=en&amp;img_index=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Berrios wrote<\/a>, \u201cand I\u2019d be lying if I said I wasn\u2019t miserable right now. Bill Kostroun for NY Post<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe timing that I thought had arrived feels like a punishment again, but the good news about God is I know it\u2019s coming.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Giants cut Darius Slayton before the first game and <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/10\/04\/sports\/odell-beckham-blindsided-by-giants-cutting-him-they-got-me\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">cut Odell Beckham Jr. last week<\/a>. Berrios, as the primary returner and a depth receiver, held more value and needed to be signed to the 53-man roster because he maxed out his three practice-squad elevations.<\/p>\n<p>Berrios finishes the season with four punt returns, five kickoff returns and zero catches on one target. Receivers Dalen Cambre, Jalin Hyatt and Dontae Fleming (added Tuesday) are on the practice squad.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think our first look would be internally, yes,\u201d head coach John Harbaugh said Monday when Berrios seemed to miss some time. \u201cWe have guys that have been here practicing, who are in the system, know what they\u2019re doing or are preparing for this opportunity. I\u2019m sure we\u2019ll turn over every stone, too.
