\n\tDon Toliver<\/a> has enjoyed a banner year that\u2019s included a No. 1 album on the Billboard 200<\/a>, an arena tour, and now he can add a pair of Drake<\/a> collaborations to his r\u00e9sum\u00e9.<\/p>\n

\n\tToliver joined forces with Drizzy for \u201cCold Shoulder\u201d and \u201cSolar Eclipse,\u201d the latter of which interpolates Ella Langley\u2019s<\/a> record-breaking Billboard Hot 100 <\/a>smash \u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas.\u201d After premiering in Drake\u2019s FOMO stream<\/a> in September, the pair of collaborations landed on the OVO rapper\u2019s HABIBTI (FOMO) deluxe on Oct. 2. <\/p>\n

\n\tAs a longtime admirer of Drake, the Houston native reflected on having the chance to team up with Drizzy at this point in his career, and the moment lived up to the hype for Toliver.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThis record to me was just really everything I could possibly ever want. I grew up in [Comeback Season Drake]. So Far Gone, I love that album. It\u2019s one of my favorites,\u201d he said in a Grammy Museum interview <\/a>with Heran Mamo in Los Angeles on Tuesday (Oct. 6). \u201cI come from that and I just thought that song in particular [\u2018Solar Eclipse\u2019] was everything I could probably ever want from a collab from us.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tToliver continued: \u201cThat particular type of song, everything was beautiful. It all played out how it was supposed to play out. I thought it was incredible.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAfter all 18 tracks from Toliver\u2019s OCTANE album landed on the Hot 100<\/a>, along with his \u201cGriddle\u201d collaboration with Yeat,<\/a> he\u2019ll look to add to his chart tally with the pair of Drizzy songs. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe 31-year-old kicked off his massive year with OCTANE in January, which notched Toliver his first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200. <\/a>He then embarked on the Octane World Tour, taking over arenas across North America. Drake popped out as a special guest at Toliver\u2019s Toronto tour<\/a> date in August, where he debuted several ICEMAN cuts live. <\/p>\n

\n\tToliver isn\u2019t done just yet either, as he\u2019s continued to tease his OCTANE follow-up, NITROUS, which he\u2019s still working on. <\/p>\n
