THE BOOKWORM<\/p>\n

Mark your calendars and plan to join us for the 2025 Boerne Book Festival on Saturday, Oct. 4. Our big news \u2014 this year\u2019s festival will take place on the Patrick Heath Library grounds.<\/p>\n

The featured speakers and panel discussions will be held inside the community room and festival tents will be set up on the library grounds, behind the library.<\/p>\n

This year we are pleased to welcome bestselling author Bryan Burrough with his latest book, \u201cThe Gunfighters: How Texas Made the West Wild.\u201d Burrough is from Temple and now calls the Austin area home.<\/p>\n

Local historian and art enthusiast Paul Barwick will interview the author at the festival. This program will be sponsored by the Old Jail Museum.<\/p>\n

Stephen Harrigan will be featured at the festival once again with his latest books, \u201cAn Anchor in the Sea of Time\u201d from UT Press, and \u201cSorrowful Mysteries\u201d from Knopf Publishing. Kerrville author Cindy Bonner will interview Harrigan about his books.<\/p>\n

Favorite vendors such as Texas Tech University Press, Trinity University Press and UT Press return to the festival this year, as well as several writing and literary organizations.<\/p>\n

The Society of Children\u2019s Book Writers and Illustrators, The Writers\u2019 League of Texas, South Texas Authors of Romance, and the San Antonio Sci-Fi and Fantasy Authors will all be on hand.<\/p>\n
