(WPVI) &#8212; The Chester County Health Department is warning the public of a possible <a class=\"zZygg UbGlr iFzkS qdXbA WCDhQ DbOXS tqUtK GpWVU iJYzE \" data-testid=\"prism-linkbase\" href=\"https:\/\/6abc.com\/measles\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">measles<\/a> exposure at several local stores.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">The possible exposure happened on Sunday, Oct. 4, at the following locations:<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">-CVS at 870 Baltimore Pike, Kennett Square, 19348; between 10:45 a.m. and 3 p.m.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">-CVS at 857 West Baltimore Pike, West Grove, 19390; between 12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">-Giant at 849 Baltimore Pike, West Grove, 19390; between 1 p.m. and 3:45 p.m.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">A person infected with measles visited those locations while contagious, county health officials said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">RELATED: <a class=\"zZygg UbGlr iFzkS qdXbA WCDhQ DbOXS tqUtK GpWVU iJYzE \" data-testid=\"prism-linkbase\" href=\"https:\/\/6abc.com\/story\/measles-cases-surpass-1000-pennsylvania-amid-states-largest-outbreak-decades\/19910962\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Measles cases surpass 1,000 in Pennsylvania amid the state&#8217;s largest outbreak in decades<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Anyone at those locations is urged to check whether they are immune to measles.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">The health department said you are considered immune against measles if any of the following apply to you:<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">-Born before 1957, or<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">-Have already had measles, or<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">-Have received at least one of the two doses of measles-containing vaccine (usually given as measles, mumps, rubella (MMR) vaccine).<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">People who aren&#8217;t protected against measles can get the virus up to two hours after someone with measles left the same room or airspace, health officials said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">This incident comes amid a historic measles outbreaking Pennsylvania, with <a class=\"zZygg UbGlr iFzkS qdXbA WCDhQ DbOXS tqUtK GpWVU iJYzE \" data-testid=\"prism-linkbase\" href=\"https:\/\/6abc.com\/story\/measles-cases-surpass-1000-pennsylvania-amid-states-largest-outbreak-decades\/19910962\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">more than 1,000 cases reported.<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC eTIW sUzSN \">For more information, visit <a class=\"zZygg UbGlr iFzkS qdXbA WCDhQ DbOXS tqUtK GpWVU iJYzE \" data-testid=\"prism-linkbase\" href=\"https:\/\/www.chesco.org\/5724\/Measles\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Chesco.org\/Measles<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright \u00a9 2026 WPVI-TV.
