The song, \u201cScream Your Name,\u201d is a collaboration between <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/nick-valensi\/\" id=\"auto-tag_nick-valensi\" data-tag=\"nick-valensi\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Nick Valensi<\/a> of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/the-strokes\/\" id=\"auto-tag_the-strokes\" data-tag=\"the-strokes\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the Strokes<\/a>, producer Mr Hudson, and singer-songwriter Aziya. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tA lovelorn jaunt backed by thumping rhythms and a haunting distorted guitar, Aziya calls the song an \u201code to the push and pull of a relationship you absolutely shouldn\u2019t be in.\u201d In a statement, she said, \u201cWhen Nick, Ben and I went into the studio, I genuinely told them I just wanted to experiment and explore, without feeling like there was some huge professional agenda behind the song.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tLyrically, Aziya wanted the \u201cScream Your Name\u201d to \u201cfeel ironically fun too, despite describing a relationship that\u2019s extremely unhealthy.\u201d She added, \u201cI think this song is the saxophones or the calm before the storm, that just gets louder and louder until you either finally call it quits or go in again for round 10.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tSick \u2014 founded by Carr\u00e9 Callaway (aka musician Queen Kwong), Darian Zahedi, and Nick Hinman \u2014 released its first single, \u201cPULS.zip,\u201d in September, which brought together Lee Kiernan from IDLES and Tokyo-based artist RIS-707.<\/p>\n<p>\t\tTrending Stories<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tSick aims to bring both established and emerging artists across different generations, genres, and cities for collaborative singles without restrictive long-term contracts. The label welcomes artists both independent and signed. \u201cI want Sick to foster a community and a scene,\u201d Callaway recently told <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/floodmagazine.com\/234670\/aziya-mr-hudson-the-strokes-nick-valensi-scream-your-name-first-listen\/\">Flood Magazine<\/a>. \u201cI want it to help get us back to grass roots, to find agency and support from fellow artists, and realize complaining isn\u2019t helping. As artists, we\u2019ve got to save ourselves and each other.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t\u201cPeople keep asking me how I know Sick is going to work,\u201d she said, \u201cand I keep saying, \u2018I don\u2019t know. It\u2019s the music industry. Nobody can know anything these days.\u2019 But we\u2019re artists and every good artist has to take risks.
