A Bronx woman claims she was fired from Costco<\/a> after sounding the alarm that her female boss was allegedly sexually harassing her.<\/p>\n

The anonymous accuser alleges she was fired from the East Harlem Costco on East 117th in January 2025 after working there for two years because she reported the \u201chostile environment\u201d created by her direct supervisor, Andrea Mills, according to the complaint filed Oct. 1 in Manhattan Supreme Court.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Mills\u2019 alleged inappropriate behavior<\/a> began during an October 2024 meeting when she complained about the shirt the accuser was wearing \u2013 a Costco crew neck uniform.\u00a0<\/p>\n

When another supervisor allegedly asked for clarification on what the issue was, Mills shouted at the woman: \u201cYou\u2019re a very busty woman!\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

During her next shift, Mills allegedly came up behind the woman while she was working the cash register, \u201cinvaded [her] personal space\u201d and sang to her that she was \u201cthe most beautiful girl in the room,\u201d per the complaint.<\/p>\n

The accuser claimed in the filing that Mills \u201ccontinued to sexually harass\u201d her in an attempt to force her to quit her job. It\u2019s not clear why she believed that Mills wanted her to quit.<\/p>\n

While she never quit, she asked to leave work early after becoming uncomfortable around <\/a>Mills on several occasions and took at least one approved day off, according to the lawsuit.<\/p>\n

The woman claimed she made at least five verbal complaints to other bosses and formally reported the alleged misconduct, but no action was taken.\u00a0<\/p>\n

She even allegedly heard another supervisor brand her as a \u201ctroublemaker\u201d for complaining.\u00a0<\/p>\n

One of her performance reviews even allegedly read: \u201c[She] needs to stop thinking people are attacking her.\u201d <\/p>\n

Her problems with Mills came to a head in December 2024 when the pair allegedly got into a heated argument over how a customer outburst was handled at the register. <\/p>\n

Both women were sent home, but only the accuser was fired in January 2025. She claims this was an act of retaliation.\u00a0<\/p>\n
