\n\tFollowing a long-anticipated return to the stage Thursday night, Barry Manilow<\/a> put an early halt to Friday\u2019s concert and has canceled his Saturday show at the International Theater at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cAfter a triumphant welcome-back concert on Thursday, Barry got hit with bronchitis and had to cancel his Friday and Saturday shows,\u201d representatives for the musician and the resort told Variety.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe announcement follows reports that the \u201cCopacabana\u201d singer abruptly ended his Friday show after playing just two songs before walking offstage, per Vital Vegas<\/a>. Reportedly, the band continued to play instrumentals before a voice came over the PA saying the show was over. Attendees noted on social media that they received emails afterward from Ticketmaster saying they would be getting a refund.<\/p>\n

\n\tHis Thursday concert marked Manilow\u2019s first time back onstage after a six-week hiatus following his Aug. 22 show. Manilow had been continuing his recovery from lung cancer, a diagnosis he publicly revealed<\/a> in Dec. 2025.<\/p>\n

\n\tManilow\u2019s residency at the Westgate Las Vegas was initially set to begin in Feb., though the singer said he would need to postpone it until March after his surgery. In May, he then shared<\/a> that while he\u2019d been making \u201cgreat progress\u201d in his recovery, per his doctor\u2019s orders, he wasn\u2019t \u201cquite ready\u201d to perform and would need to once again push the Las Vegas dates.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cGood news! I went to the doctor yesterday and he said I\u2019m making great progress and look great,\u201d Manilow wrote<\/a> on X. \u201cWell of course I do! Thank you very much! All the training and exercising I\u2019ve put in is paying off. He did say, however, that I\u2019m not quite ready for Vegas. That means I won\u2019t be able to return for our May shows at [Westgate Las Vegas]. But the good news is he said I will be ready for my June arena shows in the UK. It\u2019s going to be great to see you all in the UK. Westgate Las Vegas is my home away from home\u2026and I\u2019ll see you all in July. In the meantime\u2026come to the UK! We\u2019ll be there in June and hope you will be too! See you then\u2026 Barry.\u201d<\/p>\n
