The Raconteurs<\/a> reunited for a surprise performance at Jack White<\/a>\u2018s Nashville show last night (October 10), playing together for the first time in nearly seven years.<\/p>\n

White was performing the second of two consecutive nights at The Truth, a new 4,400-capacity venue that opened in Nashville earlier this month, when he welcomed his Raconteurs bandmates on stage for the encore.<\/p>\n

The band comprises White, fellow singer and guitarist Brendan Benson<\/a>, bassist Jack Lawrence and drummer Patrick Keeler, the latter of whom has also been playing in White\u2019s current solo touring band.<\/p>\n

The four-piece opened their reunion set with their 2006 debut single \u2018Steady, As She Goes\u2019, before playing \u2018Hands\u2019, \u2018Level\u2019 and \u2018Broken Boy Soldier\u2019. They finished with \u2018Carolina Drama\u2019, from their 2008 second album \u2018Consolers Of The Lonely\u2019.<\/p>\n

The reunion had been teased on social media ahead of the show, with White posting on Instagram to encourage Raconteurs fans in Nashville to buy tickets for the show, hinting that \u201cthere just might be a little surprise\u201d.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere during Saturday\u2019s show, White performed songs from throughout his catalogue, including The White Stripes<\/a>\u2018 \u2018Icky Thump\u2019, \u2018Black Math\u2019 and \u2018Seven Nation Army\u2019, alongside solo tracks \u2018Lazaretto\u2019, \u2018Freedom At 21\u2019 and \u2018That\u2019s How I\u2019m Feeling\u2019.<\/p>\n

The Raconteurs last performed together on December 13, 2019, at The Republik in Honolulu, Hawaii, bringing an end to an extensive touring year in support of their third album \u2018Help Us Stranger\u2019.<\/p>\n

That record, released in June 2019, was their first in 11 years, following 2006\u2019s \u2018Broken Boy Soldiers\u2019 and 2008\u2019s \u2018Consolers Of The Lonely\u2019.<\/p>\n

The band had made their previous live comeback at a celebration of Third Man Records\u2019 10th anniversary in Nashville in April 2019<\/a>, ending an eight-year absence from the stage.<\/p>\n

Their subsequent tour saw them play venues and festivals around the world, including a Mexico City show where The Strokes\u2019 Julian Casablancas joined them for a cover of \u2018The Modern Age\u2019<\/a>.<\/p>\n

NME<\/a> awarded \u2018Help Us Stranger\u2019 four stars<\/a>, calling it a \u201csmooth and pleasurable drive\u201d and praising the interplay between White and Benson. The review concluded: \u201cIt\u2019s a full-bodied album and a journey \u2013 a journey we hope it doesn\u2019t take them another decade to make again.\u201d<\/p>\n

White, meanwhile, released his seventh solo album \u2018Frozen Charlotte\u2019<\/a> in July and has been touring throughout 2026.<\/p>\n

His recent shows have featured a number of special guests, including The Strokes\u2019 Nick Valensi, who joined him at the Hollywood Palladium last month<\/a>.<\/p>\n
