A source told Golfweek that it was an acrimonious split between Lipsky and Woolard after 54 holes. The new caddie\u2019s identity was not verified.<\/p>\n<p>Lipsky, who opened the tournament outside of Tokyo with a 5-under 66 on Thursday, finished T-54 at 3 under par for the tournament. He posted 72-73 on Friday and Saturday, respectively, with Woolard on the bag before shooting a 1-under 70 to close out the event.<\/p>\n<p>Sunday\u2019s final round was anything but pretty for Lipsky who started on the 10th tee and <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.golfchannel.com\/pga-tour\/2026\/baycurrent-classic\/leaderboard\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">bogeyed four of his first five holes<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>His back nine was an entirely different story. The 38-year-old posted a bogey-free, 5-under 31 to offset the damage done earlier in the day. <\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s the second consecutive month where a player has gone on to finish without the bagman he began a tournament. <\/p>\n<p>At the Biltmore Championship last month, Alejandro Tosti saw Cliff Ellis drop the clubs in the <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.golfchannel.com\/pga-tour\/news\/alejandro-tostis-caddie-quits-midway-through-first-round-in-asheville\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">middle of Tosti\u2019s opening round<\/a> and walk off the course.<\/p>\n<p>Tosti\u2019s best finish of the season came last week in Utah, where he tied for 13th. He has made the cut just five times in 23 tournaments played this season.<\/p>\n<p>Lipsky has had a slightly better year by comparison. He finished <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.golfchannel.com\/pga-tour\/news\/matt-fitzpatrick-wins-valspar-with-closing-birdie-to-redeem-players-loss\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">solo second to Matt Fitzpatrick at the Valspar Championship <\/a>in March and has made 12 out of 20 cuts. <\/p>\n<p>Most importantly, he sits No. 87 in the<a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pgatour.com\/fedexcup\/fedexcup-fall\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\"> FedExCup fall standings<\/a>. Tosti is No. 167 in the standings.
