\n\tJohn Oliver<\/a> returned to the \u201cLast Week Tonight\u201d<\/a> desk Sunday night and, before his big story on generic medications and national drug shortages, teed off on what he called the \u201cpretty tacky\u201d scandal ensnaring Kimberly Guilfoyle<\/a>. <\/p>\n

\n\tBut the big news came at the very end of the program when Oliver, after trolling Liberty Mutual\u2019s Liberty Biberty mascot with scandalous fanfic imagery, declared, \u201cI\u2019m thrilled to be part of the Skydance<\/a> family! Hope you\u2019re happy with what you bought, guys! We\u2019re never gonna change!\u201d It was the first time Oliver had addressed David Ellison and Paramount Skydance\u2019s $110 billion takeover of Warner Bros. Discovery, the parent company of HBO<\/a>, since the deal closed on Oct. 6. The mega-company is now known as Skydance Corp. <\/p>\n

\n\tAs for the Guilfoyle of it all, according to text messages obtained by The Wall Street Journal<\/a>, Eric Deters, a Trump donor who once unsuccessfully ran for governor of Kentucky, is alleging that Guilfoyle \u2014 a former Fox News<\/a> personality who\u2019s dated Gavin Newsom and Donald Trump Jr. \u2014 begged him to pay off her $100,000 American Express bill just days before she was confirmed to be Trump\u2019s U.S. ambassador to Greece.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cHoney please,\u201d she begged him in the published messages.<\/p>\n

\n\tCue Oliver: \u201cOK, first, that text is something: \u2018Honey please, send $100,000 to my credit card and sweetie, don\u2019t go on the news later to talk about it, and pumpkin, please send $100,000 to Sephora, I need a new vat of charcoal eyeliner. My style icon is a raccoon. Prayer hands.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tGuilfoyle is currently the Trump-appointed U.S. ambassador to Greece, and Oliver argued that it was \u201calways odd\u201d that she was given the post since she\u2019s someone best known for a particularly embarrassing moment during the 2020 Republican National Convention where she threw her hands up in the air and wildly declared, \u201cThe best\u2026 is yet\u2026 to come!\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThat is just too much there,\u201d cracked Oliver, mentioning Guilfoyle\u2019s \u201ccocaine eyes\u201d and \u201cEvita arms,\u201d adding, \u201cShe\u2019s one step away from turning into a flock of crows.\u201d Deters has said he came forward because Guilfoyle allegedly made a bunch of promises to him in exchange for the $100,000, including getting him an interview on Fox News and \u201cgiving Kid Rock the song that I wrote.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cHold on!\u201d exclaimed Oliver. \u201cDo you know how bad a song has to be for it to be not good enough for Kid Rock? The guy who wrote a song featured in the children\u2019s movie \u2018Osmosis Jones\u2019 in which he sang, \u2018Young ladies, young ladies \/ I like \u2018em underage, see \/ Some say it\u2019s statutory \/ But I say it\u2019s mandatory.\u2019 He performed that song [titled \u201cCool, Daddy Cool\u201d] in a kids\u2019 movie! You know it is bad when you have the creepiest song on an album that also features R.
