On Sunday morning, it already created some.<\/p>\n<p>When the team <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.philadelphiaeagles.com\/news\/eagles-at-jaguars-inactives-2026-nfl-week-6-london-international-game-saquon-barkley-lane-johnson\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">posted its \u201cfull list\u201d of inactive players<\/a> for the Week 5 game against the Jaguars, Johnson\u2019s name wasn\u2019t mentioned. Which implied to the world that Johnson was officially active for the game, despite his announced retirement.<\/p>\n<p>Per the Eagles, Johnson is one of inactive players. Per the league, Johnson was specifically listed as inactive for the game in the team\u2019s communications with the league, in compliance with all rules.<\/p>\n<p>So why not put him on the list of inactive players?<\/p>\n<p>As we understand it, the Eagles coordinated their overall approach to Johnson with the league office. He has declared to the word his retirement. He wasn\u2019t listed on the injury report on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday. <\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s nevertheless something to watch with each upcoming game.
