He told Amu TV he walks for about 30 to 40 minutes to higher ground, where the internet signal is strong enough to communicate with others.

Fayaz is among four residents of Nahor who told Amu TV that extremely slow internet service in parts of the district is disrupting their daily lives, making it difficult to communicate with relatives and friends or access educational resources.

“Today, I wanted to talk to my friends, but the problem could not be resolved in the village where we live, so we came up to higher ground, where the internet is relatively better,” Fayaz told Amu TV.

“From where we live to where we can get internet access, it takes a lot of time,” he said. “We walk for about 30 or 40 minutes.”

Residents said internet service in the Hesa-e-Dowom-e-Behsud area of Nahor remains limited to 2G and that the connection is sometimes too slow even to send a message.

Mahdi, another Nahor resident, said the poor connection has made it difficult to stay in touch with friends.

“When I was in the city, I could contact my friends and talk to them,” Mahdi told Amu TV. “But since I came here, WhatsApp has basically become useless. It doesn’t work at all. You can’t even download anything. The internet is that weak.”

The connectivity problems are particularly difficult for residents with relatives living outside Afghanistan.

Jawad Azizi said his brother lives abroad but that the weak internet connection often prevents them from communicating.

“My brother is abroad. We don’t have internet access,” Azizi told Amu TV. “Even when we try to send a message or make a call, it doesn’t go through.”

Azizi called on Taliban authorities to improve internet services in the area.

“We ask authorities to pay more attention to this area and resolve our internet problems,” he said.

For students, the lack of reliable internet can mean traveling far beyond their villages.

Mustafa, an 11th-grade student from Nahor, said he travels to Kabul to study because the capital offers internet access and other educational resources that are unavailable to him at home.

“I go to Kabul because the facilities we need for our studies are available there, and there is internet,” Mustafa told Amu TV. “We can use all the facilities there, but in our current area, the internet speed is very slow.”

Residents said the lack of reliable connectivity has affected basic activities ranging from education to staying in contact with family members abroad.

Internet access remains limited in many rural and remote parts of Afghanistan, where slow connections and gaps in telecommunications infrastructure continue to make it difficult for residents to access online services.

Fayaz, a local resident, says extremely slow internet service in parts of the district is disrupting their daily…

[43
174,74
post-880044","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-internet","tag-internet","tag-technology
["GET
