Week 6 of the college football season absolutely delivered, producing a number of viral moments at both the FBS and FCS levels. We\u2019ve done our best to round up the best of the weekend.<\/p>\n
I try to avoid simply posting game highlights here. You can catch those anywhere. Instead, this is a mix of the on- and off-field stories that won the internet on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Georgia and Alabama met in Tuscaloosa for a heavyweight showdown. The Bulldogs won to secure a No. 1 national ranking. A crucial pass interference call was missed on the Tide\u2019s final drive. A self-inflicted wound prevented the offense from getting the ball back.<\/p>\n Kalen DeBoer erupted on his defense for a personal foul that effectively ended the game. He unloaded on referees after the missed PI. Fans followed suit.<\/p>\n The crowd threw objects from the stands after the loss<\/a>. One fan was seen shouting at and slapping a UGA player<\/a> on the helmet. Through six games, he ranks second nationally in touchdown catches and receiving yards. He had another productive day against Maryland over the weekend.<\/p>\n Smith went for 93 yards and two scores in a 45-16 win. His one-handed grab just before halftime, in the rain no less, caught viewers\u2019 attention. It also set up a Buckeyes\u2019 score.<\/p>\n The receiver now has multiple touchdowns in three straight games. The Big Ten admitted after the fact that the play was poorly officiated.<\/p>\n The ball was incorrectly spotted after UCLA penalty<\/a>. Oregon should\u2019ve taken the snap one yard closer to the goal line. The extra three feet proved costly.<\/p>\n The Ducks were unable to find the endzone and tie the game. Their head coach was as giddy as we\u2019ve seen him since arriving to Chapel Hill.<\/p>\n He first broke a sly smile in the postgame interview before closing with his patented, \u201cOn to [insert next opponent],\u201d phrase. Belichick loosened up even more in the ensuing locker room celebration. The band was given the worst seat in the house.<\/a><\/p>\n The Spirit of Troy marching band was tucked in a faraway corner of the upper deck. The Nittany Lions tried to mute band members. They refused to be quiet.<\/p>\n After picking up a 31-23 win, the band moved to the concourse to celebrate with the team. It forced Penn State fans to listen as they exited the venue. The band got revenge after being banished. That included 17 fourth quarter points.<\/p>\n Arch Manning threw a brutal pick in a tie game on his final drive. Oklahoma responded by kicking a game-winning field goal. After seeing it sail through the uprights, the sideline emptied. OU players beelined for the Texas students\u2019 section.<\/a><\/p>\n Parker Livingstone, who played for Texas last year, was one of them. He mocked his former classmates after swapping sides. South Carolina won 38-19. Fans that made the trip chomped all the way home.<\/p>\n For South Carolina, it was a much-needed win after three straight SEC losses. It was also the program\u2019s first win in Gainesville without Spurrier on the sidelines. Fans stormed the field after their latest triumph, with many flipping off Lane Kiffin as he exited to the locker room.<\/p>\n The program was fined $500K for breaking SEC rules<\/a>. He also threw one and caught one in an all-around stellar performance.<\/p>\n Pennington was unstoppable, for lack of a better word. He racked up 322 passing yards while also leading the team in rushing. Five minutes later, the duo connected again for an 89-yard score. It was ruled incorrectly that a player was offsides. The call stripped Michigan State of an offensive possession.<\/p>\n They\u2019d later force overtime after overcoming a 17-point deficit.
