If you haven\u2019t seen the iconic Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey rom-com \u201cHow to Lose a Guy in 10 Days,\u201d do yourself a favor and watch it. But if you have, it\u2019s time to put a Penn State twist on the classic love story.<\/p>\n

Finding \u201cthe one\u201d is hard enough, but finding them at Penn State? That\u2019s a whole different story. <\/p>\n

So, if a guy can stick through all 10 of these Penn State tests, congratulations! You may have found your Happy Valley happy ending.<\/p>\n

Here are 10 days of tests to see if you have found your person. <\/p>\n

Day 1 \u2014 Ask Him For A Text To His Fraternity <\/p>\n

For some reason, fraternity guys act like giving you a text to their fraternity\u2019s party is a bigger commitment than meeting your parents.<\/p>\n

So, invite yourself! You might get ghosted immediately.<\/p>\n

Day 2 \u2014 D.P. Dough During The Day<\/p>\n

Anyone can take you to D.P. Dough at 2 a.m. after a night out. But will he take you there in broad daylight? <\/p>\n

No bar-hopping pregame. Just you, him, and a calzone. You should probably ask him to go at 1 p.m. for the best effect.<\/p>\n

Day 3 \u2014 Library Date<\/p>\n

If he\u2019s at the library studying, ask him where he\u2019s studying, then show up uninvited. Forget about quiet study dates. You\u2019re here to yap loudly and ask him questions.<\/p>\n

Maybe even bring chips. Crunch loudly while he\u2019s trying to focus. If he doesn\u2019t kick you out, he might be a keeper. But everyone else in the library will definitely kick you out. Be respectful to them. <\/p>\n

Day 4 \u2014 Ball Knowledge<\/p>\n

Every Penn Stater loves football, so it\u2019s time to see just how much he actually knows.<\/p>\n

Tell him you wish Penn State had kept James Franklin, argue that Saquon Barkley is overrated, and insist that Rocco Becht is better than Drew Allar.<\/p>\n

If he doesn\u2019t immediately start questioning everything he knows about you, you\u2019re doing it wrong.<\/p>\n

Day 5 \u2014 Question His Major<\/p>\n

This one is honestly just pure rage bait. Ask him what his major is, and then tell him it\u2019s nice that he has an easier major so he has more free time.<\/p>\n

If he\u2019s a senior, keep asking what he\u2019s doing after graduation and whether he\u2019ll actually use his degree. He might block you after this.<\/p>\n

Day 6 \u2014 Creamery Problems<\/p>\n

Ask him to take you to the Berkey Creamery for a cute little ice cream date. <\/p>\n

Once you get there, tell him you\u2019re dairy-free and can\u2019t have any of it. Maybe even throw in a few tears for extra effect.<\/p>\n

Day 7 \u2014 Bar Lines<\/p>\n

Take him downtown and find the longest line at a bar in State College. Tell him that\u2019s your favorite bar, and you have to go there. <\/p>\n

Make him stand in the cold for 45 minutes while you complain about how slowly the line is moving.<\/p>\n

Then, just as you\u2019re about to get inside, tell him you\u2019ve changed your mind and would rather go somewhere else. If he doesn\u2019t leave you on College Ave., he might be your husband.<\/p>\n

Day 8 \u2014 Parents Weekend<\/p>\n

Things are getting serious, so it\u2019s time to take the next step: meeting the parents. <\/p>\n

Invite him to come meet your parents during Parents Weekend. If he invites you to meet his parents, you found a keeper.<\/p>\n

But let\u2019s be real. He\u2019ll probably get scared, ghost you, and pretend he never saw your text.<\/p>\n

Day 9 \u2014 Halloweekend Plans<\/p>\n

Ask him what his Halloweekend plans are, then change every single one of them. <\/p>\n

You need matching Halloween costumes. Tell him he\u2019s coming to John Summit with you. If he tries to make his own plans with his friends, remind him that Halloweekend is about spending time together.<\/p>\n

Day 10 \u2014 Ask Him For A Label<\/p>\n

You\u2019ve made it through nine days of being evil, so it\u2019s time for the ultimate test: asking him what you actually are. <\/p>\n

Hit him with the classic, \u201cSo, what are we?\u201d<\/p>\n

Watch as he suddenly forgets how to speak. You\u2019ve officially lost a Penn State guy in 10 days. If he passes all of these tests, you may have just found your person. <\/p>\n
