Former \u201cSaturday Night Live\u201d cast member Ego Nwodim appeared to respond to Shane Gillis\u2019 controversial monologue from his latest hosting stint Saturday, during which he said that women who wear short shorts to the gym are dressing like \u201cwhores.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cWhore reporting for duty,\u201d Nwodim captioned an Instagram story Monday<\/a> that featured a photo of her in the gym wearing black leggings, a black long-sleeved shirt and a black baseball hat. <\/p>\n

She then posted a photo of her post-workout meal, writing, \u201cGetting my 30 grams of protein in after heauxing,\u201d with \u201cheauxing\u201d being slang for \u201cwhoring.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gillis\u2019 monologue garnered backlash online in the days since<\/a>, with people calling the raunchy comedian \u201ctone deaf\u201d for making a comment about women\u2019s bodies, especially as the country reckons with the scandal over an alleged sexual assault at Cornell University. <\/p>\n

In the seven-minute, stand-up-style monologue, Gillis claimed he \u201cdidn\u2019t know women just dress like whores now\u201d at the gym. He went on to describe the \u201cneon, artificial-vape-colored\u201d shorts that women are wearing to work out and the fact that men are not allowed to look at women in those shorts.<\/p>\n

Nwodim\u2019s former \u201cSNL\u201d cast mate Cecily Strong<\/a> also chimed in on Gillis\u2019 remarks, posting a photo to her Instagram stories on Tuesday of her legs and feet in athletic gear.<\/p>\n

\u201cOn my way to Pilates in my new slutty ass orange shoes and rainbow socks,\u201d Strong wrote in the caption. \u201cMight sell sex on the way not sure.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cPS there was gang rape at Cornell that maybe won\u2019t count because the NY law says if you consent to drinking you consent to all that happens to you,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

Actor Dan Levy joined the conversation Sunday night. In a selfie video posted to Instagram<\/a>, he said, \u201cWomen wearing short shorts at the gym does not make them whores. It makes the men calling them whores misogynists. There\u2019s a difference there.\u201d<\/p>\n

He went on to call women \u201csuperior human beings to men\u201d and called on the male population to more often support their female counterparts. <\/p>\n

Saturday was Gillis\u2019 third time hosting the late-night sketch comedy show. He was hired, and then quickly fired<\/a>, from the cast in 2019 after clips of racist jokes he had previously made on his podcast surfaced online. <\/p>\n

Nwodim was on \u201cSNL\u201d from 2018 to 2025 and became a mainstay in the cast with recurring characters such as Miss Eggy and Lisa from Temecula.<\/p>\n
