Nick Walker<\/a> is still processing his shocking 2026 Mr. Olympia victory. In an October 8 video, he revealed he\u2019s gained 16 pounds since competing and broke down why he no longer uses creatine.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cThe Mutant\u201d made history in Las Vegas, Nevada. Against the odds, he won the Sandow trophy<\/a>, defeating a historic lineup that included Samson Dauda<\/a>, Derek Lunsford<\/a>, and Andrew Jacked<\/a>. Surprisingly, Walker got the job done without using creatine, one of the most popular and widely studied supplements in fitness and bodybuilding.\u00a0<\/p>\n Nick Walker Says He\u2019s Gained 16 Lbs After 2026 Mr. Olympia Win, Explains Why He Stopped Using Creatine\u00a0<\/p>\n In the video, Walker shared that he put on 15 to 16 pounds since winning the Olympia. He already lost the weight after going zero-carb for three days straight.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cTo be real, I ate like a fucking asshole after the show. So, yeah my weight definitely skyrocketed really, not bad, but I was just like I won the fucking Olympia. I don\u2019t care, man. I\u2019m going all-out. I ended up putting on a good 15 or 16 pounds within two days. That\u2019s all off now. It\u2019s gone; I\u2019m back to my normal way. After Monday, I literally went zero carbs for three days.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cI love carbs. I think carbs are what fuel the fire. I think carbs are what fuel the metabolism. I think carbs are what keeps the body rolling.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n According to Walker, he didn\u2019t experience any noticeable benefits from taking creatine. I just don\u2019t think it ever served me a benefit besides making me feel watery, so I just stopped using it.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cOh, yeah, I eat plenty of meat, for sure.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n Arnold Schwarzenegger<\/a> has also scrutinized creatine and weighed its potential. He described the supplement as safe but not risk-free<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cOne review found that up to 50% of products tested positive for banned substances, and a larger review of 50 studies covering more than 3,000 supplements found over 28% contained undeclared drugs, including anabolic steroids.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cAnd many creatine products don\u2019t even have any creatine and instead are stuffed with other, sometimes illegal, performance-enhancing ingredients. Or, they use forms of creatine \u2014 like Creatine HCL \u2014 that aren\u2019t backed by decades of published research.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n Walker managed to win bodybuilding\u2019s greatest title without using creatine.
