A woman killed her husband and 3-year-old son <\/a>at a popular Pennsylvania water park before asking police for their help to die by suicide because she couldn\u2019t \u201cfind the vein in her neck to stab,\u201d authorities said Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Officers rushed to the Great Wolf Lodge at 3:13 p.m. on Monday after a \u201cdistressed female\u201d in Room 2030 \u201cadvised the dispatcher that she needed help committing suicide,\u201d according to a Poconos Township Police Department statement<\/a>.<\/p>\n

That caller, 27-year-old Towanda resident Metallica Rose Harrison, told a dispatcher she wanted to die by suicide but needed help \u201cto find the vein in her neck to stab,\u201d according to a criminal complaint written by Detective Earl Ackerman.<\/p>\n

Charles Harrison \u201csuffered multiple stab wounds to the chest\u201d while a 3-year-old child, identified only as \u201cT.H.,\u201d was found dead with a \u201csingle stab wound to the chest,\u201d according to Ackerman. <\/p>\n

She was taken to the hospital, accompanied by police, allegedly telling them in the ambulance that \u201ceveryday, I work so hard\u201d to \u201cbe the best person, the best mother, the best wife,\u201d the complaint said.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2018It wasn\u2019t supposed to end like this. I was supposed to have my happy family. That\u2019s what I envisioned since I was a child, \u2019\u201d according to Ackerman\u2019s statement, quoting the suspect.<\/p>\n

Harrison also asked how deep she needed to slice her wrist for the \u201cnext time,\u201d the complaint said. <\/p>\n

Investigators found a \u201clarge butcher kitchen knife\u201d in Room 2030\u2019s bathroom floor and a \u201csmaller knife\u201d in the bathroom sink, the complaint said.<\/p>\n

The family originally checked into Great Wolf on Sept. 21 and they were scheduled to leave on Tuesday. <\/p>\n

The suspect allegedly told a dispatcher that police could find the bodies in their room with the complaint quoting her saying that \u201cmy husband and son are already gone in the bed in the living room.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re already gone, I\u2019m sorry,\u201d she said, according to the affidavit.<\/p>\n

Harrison was booked on suspicion of two counts of homicide.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis case is an isolated domestic tragedy and there is no threat to the community,\u201d according to the police statement. \u201cOur thoughts and deepest condolences go out to the family and loved ones affected by this tragedy.\u201d<\/p>\n

The famed water park and child-friendly vacation destination is a little more than 100 miles north<\/a> of central Philadelphia.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are deeply saddened and heartbroken by a tragic domestic incident that occurred yesterday in a guest room at our resort in the Pocono Mountains,\u201d according to a Great Wold Lodge statement. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt was an isolated family incident, and we\u2019re cooperating fully with local law enforcement as they conduct their investigation. Our thoughts are with the family and loved ones of those affected.\u201d <\/p>\n

A judge ordered Harrison held without bail on Tuesday and it wasn\u2019t immediately clear on Wednesday if she\u2019d hired or been appointed an attorney to speak on her behalf. <\/p>\n

Messages left at publicly listed phone numbers for the suspect and victim were not immediately returned on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
