He was eligible for arbitration.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Cabrera was claimed by the Reds off waivers from the <a class=\"zZygg UbGlr iFzkS qdXbA WCDhQ DbOXS tqUtK GpWVU iJYzE \" data-testid=\"prism-linkbase\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/mlb\/team\/_\/name\/nyy\/new-york-yankees\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Yankees<\/a> on Sept. 18. He was 0 for 9 with the Yankees and was 4 for 13 for Cincinnati, playing under a $1.2 million, one-year contract.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">He spent most of the season at Triple-A Scranton\/Wilkes-Barre and batted .288 with 19 homers, 69 RBI and 12 stolen bases in 122 games.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Cabrera saw significant playing time with the Yankees in 2023 and 2024.
