{"id":884060,"date":"2026-10-16T06:52:09","date_gmt":"2026-10-16T06:52:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/884060\/"},"modified":"2026-10-16T06:52:09","modified_gmt":"2026-10-16T06:52:09","slug":"caresource-hosts-mental-health-rally-for-local-students","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/884060\/","title":{"rendered":"CareSource hosts mental health rally for local students"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>DAYTON, Ohio (<a href=\"http:\/\/wdtn.com\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">WDTN<\/a>) \u2013 CareSource, the University of Dayton, and Anthony and Chris Grant held a mental health pep rally on Thursday, encouraging today\u2019s youth to speak up if they ever need help.<\/p>\n<p>Three schools each received a $10,000 grant for writing an essay explaining what it would do with the money to support mental health programs.<\/p>\n<p>Those grants went to West Carrollton Middle School, National Trail School District, and Chaminade Julienne High School, but many more schools attended the rally to focus on one thing: breaking the stigma around mental health.<\/p>\n<p>Guest speakers, such as Dayton Men\u2019s Basketball Coach Anthony Grant, spoke to students on how they can not only help themselves, but others who may be battling an internal struggle.<\/p>\n<p>\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wdtn.com\/news\/active-threat-reported-at-miami-university\/?ipid=promo-link-block1\" class=\"promo-link__link\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><br \/>\n\t\tAll clear given after gunshots reported at Miami University\t<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Grant lost his daughter, Jayda, to mental health struggles, and he now partners with CareSource to run events like this to make sure kids know they are being seen.<\/p>\n<p>According to organizers, they want students to know that help is available to them whenever they need it.
